The VS2108 is an active, self-powered loudspeaker suited to all near and midfield applications, where the requirement is for a full range and high powered monitor.
The driver complement consists of a custom 200mm (8") high excursion bass driver with cast chassis and dual rear suspension. This is matched to a 28mm (1.125") ferrofluid cooled, softdome tweeter. The built-in amplifier drives over 110W RMS into the bass driver and 100W RMS into the tweeter. This provides extensive headroom that, together with the high-mass, rigid enclosure, carefully selected crossover point and custom designed drivers, ensures accurate, low distortion, fatigue-free listening over the widest area.
Switches are provided for input sensitivity selection and HF and LF equalisation to compensate for room conditions and mounting position.
Applications include installations, mobile, broadcast, editing and voice-over suites, post-production project/home studios, nearfield monitoring and main monitoring in smaller studios.
