All in all, I was amazed at how much nio 2 | 4 packs in, especially for the price. But then, it’s not that much of a surprise when Novation have products like the XioSynth on the market – a great synthesizer, MIDI controller and audio interface all-in-one for not that much more than nio 2 | 4! Both the hardware and software look and sound excellent and take no time at all to get going with. As is the case with many Novation and Focusrite products, nio 2 | 4 is appealing to a vast range of musicians and producers; it’s easy and intuitive enough for a complete beginner but with an audio quality and versatility that the pro demands. For me, Novation are a company that like to make ‘making music’ fun – and nio 2 | 4 delivers in spades.
