The Gibson EDS-1275 Twin Neck electric guitar was used by Jimmy Page on the live version of "Stairway To Heaven". Originally introduced as a hollowbody double neck model in 1958, the EDS-1275 assumed its more familiar SG-style body shape in 1962. Always one of Gibson's more esoteric models, the 1275 got its moment in the sun when Jimmy Page started using it for live performances of the Led Zeppelin classic "Stairway to Heaven". Thirty years later, Page is still the artist most closely associated with the Gibson EDS-1275 Twin Neck electric guitar. The upper neck is a 12 string and the lower neck is a 6-string. The Gibson EDS-1275 Twin Neck electric guitar features a solid mahogany body and twin maple necks with bound rosewood fingerboards. The 1960 slim taper neck profile on both necks is fast and sleek while the Vintage Tulip tuners, chrome hardware and pearloid split parallelogram inlays make this guitar a comfort to play and watch.
