Originally designed for jazz musicians, the Jaguar hit its mark with the then off-beat, Southern California surf bands. Because of its unique tone, the Jaguar has emerged as the instrument of choice for many cutting edge artists from all genres of the last decade.

The 62 Jaguar is a recreation of Fenders premier guitar from the 60s The Jaguar pairs bright pickups with a mellow, short 24 scale length. A trio of sliding pickup selector switches, rotary volume wheels on the upper bout, and chrome hardware are distinctive Jaguar traits. The well known FENDER MUTE is a built-in string-damping device created with surf bands in mind.

The Jaguars singlecoil pickups resemble those of the Strat, but there's an added feature called a keeper not found on the Strat pickup. The pickup is nested within the serrated-edge of the steel keeper to increase the magnet flux at the strings, increase the current through the pickup coil, and to reduce the pickups sensitivity to hum. The result is a pickup with more kick in the mids and less noise.

Additionally, the Jaguar includes the upper bout preset circuitry feature, a trio of selector switches, individual on/off switches for each pickup and a subtle high pass filter switch which means the tonal versatility of this guitar will blow you away!
